Melanie started training at the age of three at the national performing arts school Dublin and went on to receive a diploma with the Guildhall school of music and drama, and a diploma in theatre studies with Inchicore VEC.

Theatre credits include: A Mid Summers Nights Dream, Death Of a Salesman , Joey and Maria's comedy Italian  wedding and The Sopranos Last Supper.

She also appeared  in various musicals and pantomimes at the Gaiety and  Olympia theatre. TV and Film work include Fair City,  On Home Ground, No Tears, The Aristocrats and Echo  Island.
