It will come as no surprise to anyone that the name of George Twamley should be connected to a new Elvis Musical being produced here in Ireland, you  only have to mention Elvis' name any where in that country and before long George will be mentioned. .

A founder member of "The Official Irish Elvis Presley Fan Club" www.elvis.ie in 1984, which is dedicated to perpetuating the name of Elvis Presley by raising funds for charity in his name. It is no exaggeration to say that George has been the driving force behind keeping the name and music of Elvis Presley in the public eye in Ireland.

For over twenty years George has been involved in many aspects of the entertainment business, and has produced shows for charity in many venues such as Vicar Street,  The Waterfront (Belfast)  The Olympia Theatre (Dublin)  Jury's Hotel, The Red Cow, Leopardstown Racecourse, City West Golf and Leisure Centre where of course "The Elvis Presley Charity Golf Classic" is hosted www.elvisgolf.com to name just a few, he also acted as P.R.O. for "Elvis The Concert" when it was produced at "The Point Theatre" for the first time.

George presented and produced a three hour Elvis tribute programme that was screened by R.T.E. Television and has appeared on many Television and Radio programmes to numerous to mention. He currently produces "Elvis Extra" an hour long radio show dedicated to the music of Elvis Presley which is broadcast every Sunday night on Dublin's Country Mix 106.8fm, and is also broadcast live on the net at  www.perfectstation.com

In Ireland the words Charity and Elvis will be forever linked  with each other, through the work of George Twamley and the Irish Elvis Presley Fan Club. To date over  four Hundred thousand euros have been donated to Irish charities such as The Freidreicks Ataxia Society of Ireland,  St.Michaels House,  The Barrett Cheshire Home,  Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Society of Ireland,  St. John of God's Menni Services,  Irish Autism Action, to name just a few.

Two years ago George sat down and decided to write an Elvis Musical with a difference for him a long held ambition has been fulfilled.
